Glendale Heights Pool

 It's been 2 years since Stephie has been to the Glendale Heights pool with Bobo, so a return visit was long overdue  This time Haley got to play in the fountains as well.

The splash park is one of the girls' favorite areas.

Picnic with Cami and Ava

Summer is a busy time for everyone, and the girls haven't been able to meet up with Cami and Ava as much as they'd like due to class schedules.  But today they met up for a special picnic in the park.  It started out with some water fun...

Stratford Square and a new park to explore

Yesterday was a rainy mess, so the girls stayed indoors with a trip to the mall and a ride on a train...

 ...but today was perfect weather to explore a new park in Wheaton.  The girls liked watching the big kids canoe...

 ...and packed a picnic lunch to share.

Play-date at Megan's house

Megan and Stephie don't get to see each other as often now that preschool is over, so it's nice to see her for a play-date every once in a while.  Haley got to come too, and though she's pictured here with Megan, she also likes to play with Megan's little brother Nick.

Pump It Up

Today we drove to Bucktown for Sam's 4th birthday party at Pump It Up.  Haley started with an age-appropriate ball...

 ...before moving onto the slides...

 

 ...and then Stephie got to try the climbing wall.

But wait!  Haley waited patiently by the wall for her turn, too, until one of the aides asked her if she wanted to try.  She enthusiastically responded, "YEAH!" so we figured, why not?!?

Long Grove Strawberry Festival

 We hopefully made up for the lack-of-balloon fiasco last night by getting Stephie's face painted today.  She wanted a pink and purple birthday cake, and this guy was happy to oblige for a very reasonable $3.

 Then it was time for a train ride.  Haley, Stephie, and Avery shared the red car.  Haley was such a big girl sitting on the seat!

 Stephie got a SECOND ride on the merry-go-round.  Until some kid started crying and they shut the whole thing down.  Bummer.

 Stephie was envious of Aunt Hilary's corn dog...

 ...and Uncle Ryan's chips.  Hey, wasn't it supposed to be a strawberry festival?!?
