Hot hot hot!

Just like last year, the neighborhood kids in Julie and Papa's neighborhood hosted a carnival in their backyard to raise money for diabetes.

 This year, though, Haley was much more involved.

 The outing only lasted about 10 minutes, though, due to the 95 degree temperature.  After their naps, the girls escaped to the cool air-conditioned library for some inside play-time.

 Best place to eat a popsicle?  In the bathtub, of course!  Easy clean-up for Mommy!

Let's go fly a kite

Grandpa Allen tried very hard to give Stephie and Haley their first kite-flying experience.  Unfortunately, the wind didn't cooperate too well.

It didn't put a damper on their good moods, though.

Water table with Connor

 Stephie and Haley went to meet Connor's new baby sister Molly today.  While there, they had an awesome time playing with Connor's sand and water table.

 Haley had never seen a water table with sand (Connor's mommy is much braver than us!)  She thought it was pretty great.

 Anyone see a family resemblance here?!?  Stephie and Connor could definitely be brother and sister.

14 months old!

 Stephie and Rosie took a walk...

 ...and apparently acquired some more boo-boos along the way.  Stephie is somewhat Band-Aid obsessed as of late.

 Vrooom!!!  Lunch at Pilot Pete's today and a toy airplane to take home!

 In bigger news: Haley is 14 months old!  Walking EVERYWHERE but rarely falling, climbing onto chairs and tables, emptying cabinets like there's no tomorrow, and cleaning off her entire tray of food with one sweep of the arm.  Welcome to toddler-hood!  Latest words: cracker, chicken, blueberries.  She's quite the talker!

Treadmill

 Stephie has always been a fan of Julie and Papa's treadmill, but today Haley got in on exercising as well.

 Grandma Julie got quite the arm workout...

 ...but Haley thought it was pretty darn great!
