NYC...part 2

We visited FAO Schwartz mostly to escape the heat, but the girls loved the big piano as well.
Haley was too light (???) to make the keys change color, so Mommy helped out.

NYC...part 1

We have spent the past few days in NYC for a dermatology conference for Mommy.  But look who Stephie and Haley got to meet: Lady Liberty!

Stephie's last swim lesson

Stephie's swim lessons have come to an end (probably a good thing, as they really were pretty useless; Stephie never even got her hair wet!)
Playing ring-around-the-rosie; the closest they actually came to being immersed in the water.

A cute line-up.  Stephie is of course the one in the dorky swimsuit and hat.
Haley prefers water of a different variety, in a cup that she stole from Mommy and claimed as her own.
Double horsey-ride!

Bowling and Glendale Heights Pool

Did you know that they make baby bowling shoes in size 6?
Lucky Haley!
Stephie took a size 9.  And yes, she picked out her own clothes.  : )
Later, it was time for a trip to the Glendale Heights Pool.

 Couldn't be happier!!!

Keeping busy...

 CHEEEESE!  Smiling for music class.
One of Haley's favorite ways to make noise:
Later, Hanna and Cody came over to play and do some puzzles.  Stephie is great at floor puzzles (and of course too busy to look at the camera).

16 months old!

Happy 16-month birthday to Haley!  Haley's current favorite activity is sitting on the booster seat playing the piano.  She has started combining simple two-word phrases (usually either "Zsa-Zsa YEAH!" or "Zsa-Zsa NO!"  She continues to be a wild woman and celebrated today by climbing her chair in the loft and trying to fling herself over the railing.

This is classic Haley.  Turn around for two seconds, and there you go.
Stephie is a little bit older than 16 months, but she likes the piano too.
Daddy is a LOT older than 16 months.  Maybe in horsey-years?!?

What to do when boredom strikes at home...

This heat-wave has left the girls mostly housebound and more than a little stir--crazy.  Exhibit A:
 Exhibit B:
Bobo (who luckily reclaimed at least one pair of her shoes) took the girls to the museum to get away.

Picnic lunch indoors; pasta for Haley and a ham sandwich for Stephie.  Yum!
